What's sensory processing got to do with eating attitudes and behaviours?
Researchers at the University of New South Wales are looking for individuals living in Australia aged 18 years and above who can speak English to take part in an online study about sensory processing and eating behaviours. This study is investigating the impact of sensory processing, encompassing both exteroception (e.g., smells, tastes, textures, sounds) and interoception (thirst, hunger, fullness, pain), on our attitudes towards eating, the ways we eat, and how we think about eating.

Participation in this study is voluntary, anonymous, and involves answering online questionnaires.

Participants will be asked to complete a 20 to 30-minute survey involving six individual questionnaires; two questionnaires relate to sensory processing (i.e., interoception and exteroception) while the other four focus on eating behaviours and attitudes (e.g., food restriction, eating the same foods for long periods of time, binge eating, body image difficulties, healthy eating).

Make sure to read the Participation Information Statement and Consent Form prior to participating in this study.

If you are willing to participate, and once you are ready, you can complete the online questionnaires.
This research has received ethics approval from the University of New South Wales (iRECS 7680).
